Many Museumscharge for admission while others are free. Do you think the advantages ofcharging people for admission to museums outweigh the disadvantages?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nowadays, there is a heated discussion on whether the museums should charge visitors for entrancefee, which has aroused an overwhelming focus amongst the public. From where Istand, I firmly support to charge museum admission fee, because it does moregood than harm

Firstand foremost, charging people for admission can make visiting more enjoyable. Sincemost museums are open and free to public, they are likely to be crowded withvisitors, which undoubtedly undermine the visiting experience. However, once themuseum is not free, the number of visitors is bounded to decrease. Therefore, people can appreciate what they like more carefully without the negativeimpacts of congestion, which brings much fun and relaxation to them.

Furthermore, the admission fee can be utilized to improve the attractiveness of the museums. As is known to all, operating a museum successfully needs a large sum of money,so the ticket fee can play a supplementary and supporting role. Firstly, the museumcan make full use of the admission fee to employ more staff to promote itsservices, which can also provide more working opportunities. Secondly, theentrance fee can also be used to purchase or introduce more fascinating collections. As a result, the admission fee can contribute to the enhancement both insoftware and hardware so as to improve the attractiveness of the museums.

Admittedly,it gives rise to many benefits and profits both to visitors and museums, however, it is inevitable to causes some problems. For instance, it is unfairfor those from low-income families. To some degree, the admission fee may deprivethem of the right to enjoy the public resources.

Toput all into a nutshell, whether the museums should charge for admissionremains hugely controversial. From my perspective, I maintain that theadvantages outweigh the disadvantages. For the government, it is suggested to supplyspecial subsidy to the needy family to guarantee their right and ability tovisit museums.
