Never can we overlook the value ofhigher education, especially in this extremely competitive society. With thepurpose of enhance employees' educational background, many companies nowconsidering to pay for employees to get university degree, which may be opposedby some managers when taking the huge cost into account. However, contrary tothe opinion of these managers, highlight the importance of encouragingemployees to get university degree and believe that it is beneficial for bothcompanies and the employees.

To begin with, the employees, whoserelevant skills and knowledge has tremendously improved, can further boost theirworking efficiency and inevitably bring more profits for the company. Many industriessuch as finance institutions, advertisement companies and hospitals requiretalents who has profound educational background in particular fields. Throughthe study in the university, the employees can be equipped with better abilityand knowledge to handle their business. There is no denying the productivity isone of the key aspects in the operation of a company. With the help of more productive and more intelligentemployees, complex tasks can be finished in a short time with great quality.Gradually, it will become a competitive edge of the company and promote itsreputation in the long term. What's more, this policy can be extremelyattractive to the potential talents to join the company and the loyalty ofemployees can be effectively enhanced. Huawei, a famous cellphone manufacturerin China, is a case in point. During the past few year, Huawei has givenfinancial support to over 200 employees to finish their university degree andrequire them to pay back more or less through hard work in the future. Consequently,now Huawei has become the dream company for many graduates and its avenue doubledlast year since not only the employees become more loyal to the company but alsowork more efficiently and bring unexpected profits to Huawei.
Moreover, at individual level, theemployees are glad that they can get the chance to enhance their ability andknowledge, which increase the possibility of achieving their career goal andfulfill their value in the work place. As we all know, getting a universitydegree can be a huge financial burden for many people. As a result, some peoplewho may have talent give up the chance to enriching themselves. Or, those whoinsist to attend college have to take lots of part-time job in order to pay forthe cost. However, if the company can support their education as an investment,they will no longer face dilemma between paying for the tuition and giving itup. With a university degree, they are more likely to get promoted in thefuture and embrace a brighter life.
The cost of supporting employees'education, nevertheless, can be a unignored burden for the company in a shortperiod. However, the cost can not overshadow the future benefits in the longrun. Not only the company can get more profits and better reputation but alsothe employees can have a valuable chance to establish themselves as successfulworkers. In a word, a modern company should consider paying for employees toget university degree as a promising investment and I believe it will eventuallypay off.
