Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they respond to the specific arguments presented in the reading passage.

In today's world, the pace of life is getting faster than ever, leaving the parents too busy to spend much time with their children. And the question has been raised, what should the parents do with their kids within that precious limited amount of time? While some may argue that doing things related with schoolwork is the best choice, I strongly believe that spending time on having fun playing games or sports is the wise choice to make.
To begin with, I cannot deny the importance of studying for children. Doing schoolwork is a vital way for the young kids to better absorb and understand knowledge learnt at school. However, parents are not the right ones to teach their children about the subjects including English, math and science because they are not necessarily the experts in these areas. So they can't replace the teachers' job. For example, parents may have long forgotten how to work a math or physics problem out, and sometimes their teaching can be misleading, making both their kid and themselves los faith in the schoolwork or even in that subject. Plus, children can learn much more through the process of working problems out on their own rather than turning to their parents for help.
Second, it is a better way to spend time with kids to play games or sports together because it can enhance the relationship between the parents and the children significantly. According to a research on children's behavior and emotion, playing is pointed out to be the best way to build and maintain a relationship with the kids because they can gain pure happiness and thus develop trust on people whom they play with. What's more, playing does not only make the kids feel good but also help the adults escape from the hustle and bustle of the daily routines for a while, thus improve the parents' mental health.
Third, choosing to play instead of do schoolwork related things can make both the children and the parent be more physically healthy. If the parents are able to play sports or games which contains much physical motions with their children, the family members can build their muscles and improve their strength by these. In this way, they can avoid the challenge of sitting in the office and classroom all day long without proper exercises, and their body can be healthy and in good shape.
After considering all these factors, I think that it o=would be much better if the busy parents can spend their limited time with kids playing games and sports rather than doing things related to the schoolwork.

Some people believe that when busy parents do not have a lot of time to spend with their children, the best use of that time is to have fun playing games or sports. Others believe that it is best to use that time doing things together that are related to schoolwork. Which of the two approaches do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

The reading and the listening material has a debate on whether the silver coin found in the state of Maine is a genuine historical evidence or a fake one. The author gives three reasons to prove that the coin being put at the site is a fake in the attempt to mislead the public while the speaker strongly opposes his idea and insists that the coin can be a genuine piece of historical evidence.
In the reading, it is said that the site where the coin was found was too far away from other sites documenting a Norse presence, therefore there would be no way for the coin to travel that long. However, the listening material refutes this idea by the fact that there were other things from far away at the site where the coin was found, too. And a theory is that the native Americans might travel long distances and bring the coins to this particular site.
The writer argues that there was no second coin at the site, so the coin must be a historical fake. But the speaker doesn't think that way in that there is a chance that the people who once brought the coins packed up all these coins and left because they didn't intend to stay permanently.
The lecture argues against the author's theory that the Norse wouldn't have brought the sliver coins since they couldn't be used as money by stating another theory. As the native Americans value attractive and beautiful things, the Norse might trade these coins as appealing objects which could be put on a necklace on a piece of jewelry.
